We will be open to the public from 9 AM to 5 PM each day of the Scenic Drive!
Walnut Grove Farm, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, is an historic working farm with special events that offer visitors an opportunity for experiences in the shadows of our local heritage. The 19th century farmstead, while in the process of restoration, is a working 21st century farm. It was originally homesteaded in 1835 by the Charles family, who established a cattle-farming empire that specialized in breeding stock. Over the years, it has become well-known nationwide: featured in books, magazines, videos and traveling exhibits, as an important example of historic preservation.
